At Midwest Homes, Inc., our focus in designing homes is livability of a floor plan for the client.  The Discovery takes that concept and adds aging-in-place, while also adding renewable energy to the mix; thereby creating a home that has a homey feel and charm, as well as being a place to entertain, all while good to the environment.  A wide, barrier free, welcoming entry leads to the heart of the home, where an open concept includes the inviting Great Room, a Chef’s Kitchen, and spacious Dining Area. The screened in porch, deck and interior all meld together creating a seamless gathering area inside and out.  Stunning details can be found around every corner, such as built-in cabinets for the great room statement wall with stone fireplace, dining area with serving cabinets, expansive Chefs Pantry with prep area.  You may not even notice the wider hallways and barrier free shower and other aging-in-place design elements. Details and quality finishes include coffered ceilings, hardwood floors, quartz countertops, reclaimed wood bar top, wine room and custom closets/built-in storage that’s as gorgeous as it is functional.  The lower level, which is accessible from inside, outside, and through stairs in the garage, provides more show stopping features including plenty of room for games, hobbies, or just relaxing with friends and family.

The Discovery is Focus on Energy® certified and a Green Built Home, and includes 9.84 KW solar power generation, 17 KW battery storage and has a SPAN panel electric circuit breaker panel for greater control of your energy use, thus taking environmentally friendly to a new level.

We would like to give a special thank you to all our subcontractors and suppliers who, without them, none of this would be possible. Our name may be on the sign, but building beautiful homes is truly a team effort.
